Counselling

Christine Miles counselling - how I work

I offer counselling in the St. Albans area and online.  I aim to create a compassionate and honest environment for us to explore your world.

If you are thinking of starting counselling, it might be helpful to know that the quality of the relationship between you and your counsellor is really important. Without trust and respect nothing much can happen.

Where appropriate, I draw on my experience as a mindfulness practitioner and teacher to enhance the therapeutic process.

You probably don’t want to read a list of the problems I work with –  ultimately I work with what you bring me because people don’t fit into lists or boxes. You can read more about sessions here.

I work with individuals. Sessions are normally £50.

Please click here if you would like a free 20-minute Zoom session, or to ask any questions, and I will try to get back to you within 24 hours.

Mindfulness

Christine Miles - Mindfulness training

Mindfulness is a life skill that involves paying attention to our
present moment experience with an attitude of openness, curiosity, non-judgment, and acceptance. Mindfulness training enables us to step out of automatic pilot, creating space to respond rather than react.

Cultivation of mindful compassion strengthens our inner resources to help us respond more kindly and wisely when faced with inner turmoil and difficulties. Mindfulness can be particularly useful for people in recovery from addiction.

My course aims to help you to develop an in-depth experiential learning of mindfulness, and to build the foundations of a sustained personal practice that you can apply in your daily life. A
kinder way of being.
